Volunteer in school

After retirement, I had settled at Ahmedabad with a desire to do something for society. There are various options available if a person is willing to do something for society without any reward or selfish motive. Accordingly, I thought of teaching underprivileged children. After settling down at Ahmedabad, I started searching suitable institute where I can give volunteer service for the purpose I thought for without much stress on my other daily routine activities.
Finally I could search "Apang Manav Mandal" an NGO which has hostel and school (Gujarati Medium) for physically handicapped children. They agreed and allowed me to teach the children who are very weak. 5 or 6 students. This NGO is at a distance of 3 KMs from our residence. I used to go there at my convinient time in the afternoon and spend @ 3 hours (Monday to Friday) in school in teaching the weak students. The school used to spare a separate room as well for this purpose.
This provision continued for little more than one year till Feb 2020. With spread of coronavirus, the school was closed. It has not re-opened. Even of it opens, it is uncertain in which form would it re-open. Since I used to teach them "one is to one basis" sitting beside individual student, it is difficult to reach such situation in the near future.
If I get an opportunity, I am still willing to go to this school again to teach those students.

Present Activities : Exercise, Pranayam, Meditation, reading spiritual books, watching TVs, pooja, little household activities
I pray to almighty to give me enough strength to accept and respond whatever life gives me. Though I am presemtly residing at Ahmedabad, I am flexible to move at any place wherever life takes me.
